This Privacy Policy describes how Vellum Studio Pro ("Banx Engineering LLC", "we", "us", or "our") handles your information when you access and use vellumstudio.pro and our related software development tools, plugins, or web services (collectively, the "Service"). We are committed to maintaining your privacy and ensuring transparent data practices.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the essential personal information required to authenticate your account, deliver service features, and provide customer support:
- Authentication & Profile Data: We support single sign-on (SSO) authentication via standard OAuth providers (e.g., Google / Gmail) as well as direct email logins. When you log in, we receive standard account credentials provided by the identity provider, such as your email address, name, and profile picture URL.
- Account & Project Data: Data required to manage your cloud workspace, save project UI/DSP settings, process audio plugin compilation builds, and validate software licenses.
- Purchase & Billing Data: When you buy credits, we record what you bought (a Lab or Launch pack), the amount paid, the number of credits, the date, a payment reference from Stripe, and your remaining credit balance. Payments are made on Stripe's hosted checkout page, so we never receive or store your full card number or security code. Stripe is given your account email and account ID with the payment so it can be matched to your account.
- Customer Support Communications: Support tickets, emails, and feedback sent directly to our team.
3. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used strictly for operational, support, and authentication purposes. Specifically, we use your data to:
- Authenticate your identity via OAuth providers (Google) or email login
- Save your workspace preferences, settings, and project states across sessions
- Process plugin compilation builds and issue cryptographic licenses
- Process payments, keep your credit balance and purchase history, and handle refund and billing requests
- Provide customer support, resolve technical issues, and reply to user inquiries
4. Third-Party Authentication Providers
When logging in using OAuth services like Google, authentication takes place directly on the provider's platform. We do not process or store your third-party passwords. Your interactions with third-party authentication services are governed by their respective privacy policies.
5. Payments and Other Service Providers
We use a small number of third-party providers to run the Service, and we share data with them only as needed to provide it:
- Stripe processes payments and keeps its own payment records under its own privacy policy.
- Supabase hosts our database and account authentication.
- Cloudflare stores the files you upload for a build and the finished build output.
- GitHub runs the automated jobs that compile your plugin.
- Code-signing and notarization services receive your compiled plugin so it can be signed, for builds that include signing.
- Vercel hosts our website.
Each provider is governed by its own privacy policy. We do not sell your information to any of them.
6. Data Security
We use standard security procedures and industry encryption standards (SSL/TLS) to safeguard your account data. Database access and credentials are protected using secure role-based access control via Supabase infrastructure.
7. Your Data Rights
You maintain full control over your personal information and project data:
- Access & Management: You can access and manage your saved projects and account profile directly within the workspace.
- Account Deletion: You have the right to request full account deletion and removal of your personal information at any time by contacting support.
8. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately to have it deleted.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and posting the revised document on vellumstudio.pro.
